Biography

A graduate of Annapolis High School in Maryland, Jenna Forman Clothier earned her undergraduate degree from Cornell University, School of Hospital Administration. While attending the University of Baltimore School at night, she worked at The Law Offices of Alan S. Forman, LLC. During her final semester in law school, Jenna served as a Rule 16 Attorney at the University of Baltimore School of Law Bronfein Family Law clinic, representing clients in various domestic matters, including cases involving domestic violence and same-sex custody.

Jenna obtained her certification pursuant to Rule 17 of the Maryland Rules of Procedure regarding mediation during her time in law school. Upon being admitted to the Maryland Bar in December 2014, she continued to work at The Law Offices of Alan S. Forman as an Associate until founding Forman Clothier Law Group, LLC in early 2015.

Passionate about family matters both professionally and personally, Jenna focuses her practice on adoption, family law, and immigration. Her dedication to adoption stems from her own experience as an adoptee, driving her to assist families in all aspects of adoption, including stepparent adoptions, readoptions, and finalizations of private agency adoptions. Jenna also represents foster parents seeking to adopt through the Department of Social Services and handles adoptions involving the Interstate Compact on the Placement of Children (ICPC).

As a trained Maryland Collaborative Divorce Attorney, Jenna believes in resolving family conflicts outside of the courtroom whenever possible, striving for outcomes that prioritize the well-being of all parties involved. She is admitted to practice in the State of Maryland as well as within the United States District Court for the District of Maryland.

Recognized as a SuperLawyers Rising Star in Family Law from 2019 to 2022, Jenna is also an Adoption Fellow of the Academy of Adoption & Assisted Reproduction Attorneys (AAAA), where she serves on various committees. Her involvement in legal associations, including the American Bar Association, Maryland State Bar Association, and Anne Arundel County Bar Association, reflects her commitment to the legal community.

Furthermore, Jenna volunteers her time with the Cornell Alumni Admissions Ambassador Network (CAAAN), serving as an enthusiastic ambassador to prospective students and families around the world.
